M. Night Shyamalan has been a victim of his own success (and his ego) with each of his films getting pretty much worse than the one that came before. However here he will be tackling something completely different from anything he has ever done before, and based on the one trailer we've seen so far it looks like it may turn out to be impressive. We'll

Oscar-nominee Jackie Earle Haley plays Krue

Overall, what this story is about is showing how really messed up in the head people who put on bizarre costumes to go out and beat up bad guys would be if they actually existed in the real world. We're talking about your next door neighbor putting on a batsuit complete with mask and cape, going downtown and beating up people so badly that they had to go to the hospital. Sure, it sounds good in a comic book or a movie, but would you really want to live next door to that guy? Would you really feel s

Synopsis: In this adaptation of a Warren Ellis comic, a former black-ops agent (Bruce Willis) is forced back into action when a high-tech assassin comes shows up to threaten him and his girlfriend. Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary-Louise Parker s

If there was ever a film that was suited to the twisted vision of Tim Burton, this is it. I'm not the biggest Burton fan and some of what I've seen in the trailer doesn't quite work for me (the Red Queen's head is so huge it looks cartoonish), but overall this is bound to be a feast for the senses and probably the closest a screen version will get to the source mater

The original Nightmare on Elm Street is a horror classic and we're all curious to see how this reboot/remake turns out. From what has been shown it seems like they may tone down the humor and dial up some of the more realistic aspects of the story. Really looking forward to Jackie Earle Haley's take on Freddy Krue

Not only does he have the task of adapting The Hobbit - the prequel to the mega-success that was the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but he's making two movies out of it. Most likely they will be shot simultaneously (as all of the Lord of the Rings movies were), but it's still an extra bit of weight on his should

Benicio del Toro is a great actor and I'm looking forward to seeing him as the tortured soul cursed by the, uh, curse of the werewolf. It looks like they'll be trying to do as much as they can with practical visual effects (although I'm sure there will be CGI as well) and that suits this f

The reason this is „all the way down“ at #9 is because it is only available on Blu-ray and I have been informed by top secret sources that not everybody has a Blu-ray player (it's worth it). Having said that, Zack Snyder's „In-superhero Movie games DLC|https://superheromoviespot.com/ Experience“ commentary is one of the most unique and in-depth looks at a movie ever made. I'll let the director speak for it by quoting his introduction over the film's opening credits just moments after walking into fr

Synopsis: An action-comedy centered on a fugitive couple (Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz) who embark on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Visually, Zack Snyder did a fantastic job with Watchmen . The incredible attention to detail in everything from the background sets to the props and costumes is really something to see. Of course one aspect of the film I could have stood to see a bit less of was Dr. Manhattan's penis. The logic of the story was that eventually he becomes so detached from human norms that he doesn't see the point of wearing any clothing. However I'm pretty sure I don't recall Mr. Happy being so prevalent in the book. Here we've got full body shots all over the place and frankly, it was a bit distracting (I'll never look at Blue Man Group quite the same way aga

So in the end, is Watchmen a good film? I think so. Was it a great or close to perfect film? I'd have to say no. It felt long to me, and we have the issues I pointed out above. It is however yet another comic book-based movie that breaks the mold, and lays the groundwork for more non-traditional comic book stories to be turned into fi

Guillermo del Toro is officially the busiest director in Hollywood today. A few years ago he was known merely to film buffs - those not averse to reading subtitles while watching their movies. In 2006 he came out with the Oscar-winning masterpiece Pan's Labyrinth , and suddenly the sci-fi/fantasy-loving mainstream folk were paying attention to the del Toro who's first name isn't Beni
