Looking at the Far Cry franchise , it's a safe bet and likely prediction that the next game would have an interesting location. Far Cry 6 strategy|https://farcry6zone.com/ Cry 3 took players to the tropical Rook Island, Far Cry 4 took players into the Himalayas, and Far Cry 5 took players into the backwoods of Montana. And that's only the most recent, core entries. It's uncertain exactly where Far Cry 6 goes, but it's a sure bet that the setting will be as important as the story. In fact, it's what the franchise is known

I can imagine the development process behind Far Cry New Dawn . Ubisoft developers, project designers, and executives crowded around a conference room, pouring over the reviews of Far Cry 5 , looking at the shortfalls and critiques and meticulously planning on how to improve the sequel–where to experiment on in the franchise. While the gambles they made with Far Cry New Dawn were mainly an across the board success, the experience feels lackluster, repetitive, and hollow in a usually engaging ser

Ubisoft once perfect the open world action-adventure formula with its past games, namely by focusing on an interesting and eccentric villain to push it forward. An attempt at this can be seen in every game, although arguably, none are able to live up to Far Cry 3 's Vaas Montenegro. Far Cry 4 's Pagan Min and Far Cry 5 's Joseph Seed are still good sources from which Far Cry 6 can learn, but aside from Vaas, perhaps Ubisoft should look closely at Seed and New Dawn 's Mickey and L

While these may just be historical backdrops so far, they still have incredibly important stories to tell. Battlefield 6 can't stop and smell the roses, but it can ensure players see the rose's last petal fall, can make them what to take the area back from enemies, and much more. In short, it would be an uphill battle in many ways, but if Battlefield 6 's modern setting can be as „interesting“ as Far Cry 6 , that's a simple recipe for succ

After all, Far Cry 5 didn't have a definition „exotic“ location, it made a location exotic. Many were surprised when they learned it was Montana, but eventually, it was a clear choice. The cult of Joseph Seed took a seemingly common and okay location and molded it into Ubisoft's formula, and so Far Cry 6 should mimic this. In other words, instead of choosing something incredibly exotic, a real-world location with a twist is all it really ne

In recent years, there has been an uptick in the number of games that offer co-op gaming. Players have previously teamed up in some pretty big titles, including Monster Hunter World , Dark Souls , and No Man's Sky , among others. It looks like 2019 will bring even more big co-op titles to players, including games from Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Bethesda, as well as other developers. Co-op gameplay will continue as a trend into the year. Here are some of the most promising games to look forward to in 2

Both may be shooters, but Far Cry is an action-adventure franchise too. Players are able to stop and take in their surrounding areas much better than a war-focused first-person shooter. It's not impossible, but for it to work out as well and especially among its competition, Battlefield 6 would really need to emphasize the influence of the war on surrounding areas, moreso than in the p

We'd like to say that the issues we have with the individual developers and minds behind the press conferences should be corrected after such monumental disaster. But then again, there's always next y

Ubisoft surprised fans of the Far Cry franchise with the announcement of Far Cry New Dawn at this year's Game Awards. The title will serve as a standalone adventure that will let players return to Hope County but in the role of a new character. Most importantly, though, they will have the ability to play with friends in an improved co-op mode. The new game will make securing outposts a little more challenging, thanks to something it calls „Escalation.“ Far Cry New Dawn is a title that begs players to play with friends, either in securing outposts or going out on expeditions that take players away from Hope Cou

Despite the middling score, I hope Far Cry New Dawn indicates and speaks to the future of the Far Cry series. Every risk and change that Ubisoft brought to New Dawn pays off in dividends and is a boon to the series. And though the RPG progression and world-building is a smart pivot, it's no substitution for meek and half-hearted narratives – even when it comes at a value retail price out the g

While some of the encounters and puzzles are more challenging for multiple people, the game makes up for it by dishing out a rich and colorful story and smashing gameplay , making Guacamelee 2 one of the best multiplayer games of the y

Seed created a legacy, put his family first, and had conviction in his beliefs (that turned out to be right). This idea that his insanity was actually based in something took Seed to a new level, leading fans to be happy with his surprising return in New Dawn . This added a new layer to the character, perhaps giving him more depth than others, and is something Ubisoft should replicate. The antagonists of New Dawn , Mickey and Lou, were the opposite though. They really had no depth and committed evil for evil's sake; in other words, the Far Cry 6 villain should take more after Joseph Seed than Mickey and Lou, replicating success and learning from mista(Image: http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b17maartent619.jpg&dl=1)
