(Image: https://www.freepixels.com/class=)See, Palworld is also inspired by Pokémon - to a fault, some may say. And if there's one thing Pokémon has in spades, it's lore. Palworld may not have quite as much lore as the almost-30-year-old franchise, which has regularly expanded its world-building across nine generations. But there are more than a few things going on in the backdrop of all the Pal-catching, base-building, and boss-fighting. And as it turns out, it's not all sunshine and rainbows on Palpagos Isl

Mineshafts are a kind of dungeons that you can find in the Palworld . You can encounter these places in every biome, but these locations are not marked on the map, which can make it difficult to find them. So, to help you test your luck and skill in boss battles as well as collect valuable loot, here's everything you need to know about each of these locations.

Unlike the other Pals mentioned in this guide, Elizabee is a relatively easy enemy, and the level of this boss is only 31. Despite being in a good position to win, we recommend that you bring a couple of Fire Element type Pals, such as Arsox or Reptyro .

In the Destroyed Mineshaft, you'll come across the Astegon Alpha Pal. This is another Mineshaft that you can find near the Mount Obsidian Midpoint fast travel point, but in this case, you need to head west of the teleporter. You will be at the entrance when you are at these coordinates: -570, -415 . Astegon is a level 48 Dark/Dragon-type Pal, so we recommend bringing a few Ice Element Pals, such as Penking , Wumpo, or Frostallion.

In the Dessicated Mineshaft, you will encounter the Menasting Alpha Pal. This Mineshaft is located in the northeast, actually at the very edge of the map. To get there, go to Duneshelter or PIDF Tower Entrance, then head south to the location shown in the screenshot above. You will be at the entrance when your coordinates are 495, 80 . The best choice when preparing for a visit to this location would be Water or Dragon type Pals, such as Jormuntide , as they are the most effective against Menasting.

That same ancient Palpagos civilization was technologically advanced - the player's Ancient Technology Points in Palworld go towards unlocking some of their insights for modern use. It's entirely possible, then, that the ancient Palpagos civilization also had the ability to transform humans into Pals . It would explain why Pals don't seem to exist anywhere else in the world, and why much Pal-centric technology, including Pal Spheres, also works on humans. Modern Pals may be the evolved descendants of these original Pals, who were just as much a part of society as their human creat

There are many Pals in Palworld that have the Medicine Work Suitability. Unlike the Cooling ability , Medicine is not tied to a specific type of pal - any type has the potential to have Medicine. Each pal with Medicine can have a level between 1 and 4 for their Medicine ability. The higher the number, the faster they will be at completing the task. This Best Medicine Pal Tier List shows each tier of Medicine currently available in Palworld.

A Mossanda Lux can be found on the easternmost island of the map as an Alpha boss just north-east of the Natural Bridge fast travel point. However, this Pal is Level 31 and so only really intended for more experienced Pal tamers. Alternatively, a regular Mossanda can be caught in the forest areas surrounding the Frostbound Mount

The best new alternative to Palworld might just be Enshrouded , a Steam early access title that also boasts a mix of RPG mechanics and survival crafting standards. The most obvious difference comes in the flavor, which is much less Pokémon -adjacent and much more classically fantasy. The name immediately invokes Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming RPG Avowed , while the story of a protagonist referred to as Flameborn navigating a corrupted world and fighting challenging bosses also brings genre icons like Dark Souls to m

Jormuntide is an endgame Pal, and that's for good reason. It is undoubtedly the best Water Pal in all of Palworld , with a huge damage output that puts most Fire Pals to shame. It's mountable, making traversing bodies of water a breeze, and it doesn't deplete any stam

Although the regular Mossanda is just as good at transporting items, the Mossanda Lux is ever so slightly superior simply because its Level 2 Generating Electricity ability is more useful than Level 2 Planting since many Pals have this Work Suitability anyway. Mossanda and Mossanda Lux also have Handiwork and Lumbering capabilities, but Level 3 Transporting is their strongest Work Suitability. As an added bonus, Mossandas don’t require too much food to keep happy either so it’s perfectly feasible to have a couple on a base at any one t

Survival crafting games are nothing new in the PC market, with the enormous success of Rust accelerating interest in a genre that's only continued to grow. An unfortunately large percentage of titles end up feeling rudimentary and flavorless or simply failing under the weight of bugs, however, with standouts like Valheim being comparatively few and far between. Whenever something with meat on its bones does come along, it's worth paying attention to, even if Palworld news is currently overshadowing all of its competitors in overall buzz and sa
