At the time, Battlefield 3 's rival was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , which was still utilizing its tried-and-true weapon customization that was introduced and refined in the previous Modern Warfare titles. Every weapon in that game was constrained to one attachment unless players selected the „Attachments“ weapon proficiency that allowed for two attachments. Balance concerns likely would've been the main concern with allowing more than one/two attachments per weapon, especially in tandem with the perk selection in the game's multipla
Since its inception in 2002 with Battlefield 1942 for PC and Mac, the Battlefield franchise has enraptured fans with each iteration. From World War II to more modern settings and even a one-off title set in the future (Battlefield 2142 – 2006), the series has been a staple in the first-person shooter genre. For better or worse, each Battlefield title is one of the most popular games to release in its launch year, with gamers rushing to get their hands on the next installment to engage in some massive gunfights with other players. However, what many fans want is a Battlefield: Bad Company 3, as it has been 10 years since Bad Company 2’s release, and the only information released regarding a continuation of that series has been speculative at b
While the modern combat setting was enjoyed by fans, at the end of the day it was the clear development focus that made these Battlefield games some of the best in the franchise. Battlefield 6 would be right to return to a modern setting in 2022, but that's not only challenge DICE will need to tackle to bring Battlefield back to its former gl
Older Battlefield titles like Battlefield 3 had customization that was the closest thing to Modern Warfare 's Gunsmith before it existed. Gunsmith emphasizes Call of Duty 's desire not to compromise player preference with improper balancing. Even though there's been a few examples of overpowered guns/class builds, out of almost 50 guns throughout the entire game, it's crazy to think how balanced the weapon pool is with Gunsmith. Battlefield 6 would do well to observe and emulate the freedom achieved with Gunsmith's implementat
Henderson’s comments on how „feedback from 3rd parties has been overwhelmingly positive compared to previous installments“ should be extremely promising for fans of the series. While opinions will certainly vary on the game when it arrives, knowing that those who have had a chance to play the game early have enjoyed it is surely good news for the Battlefield community. Based on the positivity thus far, DICE seems set to deliver on Battlefield 6 's ambitious ide
That being said, modern combat spawned some of the greatest Battlefield games to date. Battlefield 4 , despite its troublesome launch issues, shaped up to be a great Battlefield game overtime thanks to content updates. Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 were some of the best shooters the franchise had to offer because there was a clear focus on what each game intended to do. Bad Company 2 has some of the most intelligent map design in the entire series, justifying the at-the-time revolutionary destruction physics. Battlefield 3 thrived in its variety, showcasing traditional Battlefield gameplay on huge maps like Caspian Border, but also adding more close-quarters combat in maps like Operation Mé
According to IGN, EA has reconfirmed that DICE will release Battlefield 2042 settings|https://battlefield2042pedia.Com/ 6 in 2021. After DICE creative director Dennis Brännvall released the news regarding Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s final content update, EA gave a statement to IGN assuring the community that DICE would continue to support both Battlefield V and Battlefront 2 for the next couple years. EA then added that gamers will „ be getting a new DICE Battlefield game next year: ‘Longer term, the studio is focused on the future of Battlefield that we’ll be bringing to players in 2021.
There's options, and in a game like Battlefield , options are what make the games interesting. Implementing a Gunsmith-like system would make the soldier classes feel less linear/restricting, whilst also allowing players to fulfill specific roles dependa
In a game like Battlefield , Gunsmith almost makes more sense to include than in Modern Warfare . Weapon balance in Battlefield has been spotty at times, but the expanded weapon customization introduced in Battlefield 3 compensated for that in a big way. If anything, expanding the systems that were introduced in Battlefield 3 and 4 into a Gunsmith-like system could help differentiate teammates/opponents from each other. Since every player picks one of four soldier classes, there'd be a lot of overlap between players' choice of weapon and equipment. Classes were constraining to a specific gameplay style, like how engineers were almost strictly close-range fighters with S
