Nothing about the Special Projects division is really known at this point beyond the philosophy that's at play behind its creation. Greene has indicated that the division is meant to explore future possibilities within gaming that don't really exist currently, stating that the division would focus on creating new technologies and gameplay. Greene has also suggested that he already has a number of ideas for what these focuses should be, and that the creation of the division is to take one of the progenitor's of the battle royale genre's ideas and to make them reality. With PUBG 's popularity waning, now seems like a good time for Greene to step back and try something new outside of that sph

It began when one PSNProfiles member spotted a series of images that spoil the arrival of [[https://Pubgfrontierzone.com/|PUBG collectibles|https://pubgfrontierzone.com/]] on PS4 and this week analyst Daniel Ahmad took to the ResetEra forums to confirm what we've all been hearing . Unfortunately, PUBG 's late entry could end up costing its potential on the PlayStation platform. PlayStation 4 is in the midst of a battle royale bonanza thanks to the supersized Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and the franchise's break from tradition by taking on the trend of battle royale gaming in lieu of a single player campaign. Elsewhere, the free-to-play H1Z1 has been killing it on the PS4 as well and that's before even mentioning the juggernaut that is Fortni

While many other attempts were made and ultimately failed to capture the success of PUBG and Fortnite , Apex Legends continues to grow at a rapid pace having just crossed 50 million players in about a months time . Even though its popularity remains high and content updates continue to arrive at a consistent rate, Apex Legends does suffer from a few issues that negatively sets it apart from its closest riv

In an interview conducted with GamesIndustry.biz , Greene was asked about his current position within the company and what his stance was moving forward with games like PUBG and the battle royale genre as a whole. Greene indicated that he believed the team behind PUBG is more than prepared to thrive in his absence, which gave him the chance to announce the Special Projects division. When prompted about the state of battle royale in general, though, and his position on it, Greene gave a response that may shock fans of his w

The achievements in PUBG on Xbox One essentially task players with playing the game as normal for the most part, though there are some oddities thrown in to keep things interesting. For example, one of the achievements is rewarded for getting into a vehicle being driven by an enemy player, which will be rather tricky considering how most players in PUBG are the "shoot first, ask questions later" t

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds entered early access on Xbox One last December, but the game's full release has finally launched. The full release comes with a number of gameplay enhancements, bug fixes, and new features, including the addition of the Sanhok jungle map and achievements. And as it turns out, some of the achievements are even retroactive, meaning players are being given credit for what they did in the game during its early access per

Not all of the achievements in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One are retroactive, but we immediately unlocked a few when starting the game up again after downloading the latest update. Not all of the achievements are tracking properly either, but it's possible that these issues will be ironed out in a future upd

"Maybe it was its immersive gameplay, or its gripping story... its well-crafted characters, immaculate design, or addictive multiplayer. Whatever the reason, the winner of 2018's Game of the Year Award is an instant classic," Steam announc

The game is certainly deserving, having left the gaming universe in awe following its release. Unfortunately, Fortnite took over and even that is now being overshadowed by Respawn and EA's launching of Apex Legends , a BR based on the Titanfall series that amazingly garnered 10 million users in its first three da

Whatever the case may be, it's clear that more studies need to be done on game addiction to determine the proper way to diagnose the disorder as well as treat it. So far, it seems as though psychiatrists are treating game addiction the same as drug addiction, and it's unclear if that is the best way to handle it or not. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if other governments react in the way India did to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds , and just start banning certain games outri

Greene would later add that he's also " done the killing thing ," which seems to indicate that the creator is also exploring games with a much less violent focus than the title that he made his name off of. If Greene is done with battle royale, he's certainly left a lasting impression on the genre already. PUBG was one of the first titles in the genre to illustrate just how much potential it had, and even if it has since fallen out of favor because of the success of Fortnite and Apex Legends , the latter two games owe their current popularity to the groundwork PUBG laid before t
