With its complete mechanical overhaul done for Overwatch 2, Bastion the point-controlling turret is no more. Instead, this bionic buddy-of-birds is now an all-terrain vehicle, with its stationary turret having been traded for a new Assault mode which transforms Bastion into a roaming, mini gun-firing t

Overwatch 2 might be the first sequel in history that players of the original begged the developers not to make. Through a small handful of gameplay changes and minor visual updates, it just barely manages to justify its own existence. It feels like it’s Blizzard’s attempt to restructure the monetization into a more profitable, industry-standard model, which people have rightly pointed out benefits the publisher, but doesn’t actually provide any value to the players. At first blush, Overwatch 2 comes across like a dark tulpa of the original - a product designed to increase profits and engagement without offering anything that meaningfully increases enjoyment. Within the broader context, Overwatch 2 follows this year’s Diablo: Immortal as just another anti-consumer title from a mega corp that used to actually care about its fans and reputation. There’s never been a particularly good answer to the question "Why does Overwatch 2 exist?", and I don’t anticipate there ever will

In fact, because I thought Overwatch would continue to exist, I bought it on more than one platform. I’m not right in the head sometimes, so I actually believed that by purchasing a video game on a physical disc, I would get to play it for a while. I figured I had years to enjoy being a D-level Mercy failing to heal teammates who lowkey hated me.

Although Overwatch hasn't introduced as much lore and story as players would have hoped, there's still a somewhat clear direction towards which Overwatch 2 seems to be headed. The team is becoming more active again, following Winston's recall during the events of the first Overwa
It’s the same corporate avarice that led us to Stadia , only Google was far more incompetent with how they sold it. Fortunately, Google has more money than there are gods in the heavens; they can (mostly) pay people back for the company’s mistake . But remember Stadia wasn’t a live game that just didn’t take off. It was an entire platform that didn’t take off. A platform that Google promised would stay online for the foreseeable future. And, like Blizzard, Google could also afford the servers.

Following the grandiose Breath of the Wild , Nintendo circles back to this overlooked Wii game , which resides near the start of Zelda 's rich timeline. This charming remaster embodies the prior two decades of 3D Zelda , stressing more linear gameplay, puzzle-solving, and temple-crawling. But Skyward Sword also excels in its own right, with colorful, stylized visuals, atmospheric locales, and exhilarating flight mechan

With high health and quick healing, Roadhog’s survivability is no doubt his strong suit. In fact, his self-sufficiency has Roadhog often ranked as one of the worst tanks for standard PvP as he has no means of protecting or supporting his teammates aside from acting as a human shi

The game offers prominent motion without it being intrusive or burdensome. Players can simply hold the left trigger to initiate the feature. The game even channels some of that arcade-style lightgun vibe by having players reload with a quick movement that emulates loading a new clip into one's Joy-con gun. With this neat inclusion, and its sleek visuals, zombie blasting in Revelations 2 is particularly fun and immers

Sojourn has been said to be one of the primary characters in Overwatch 2. Everything is likely to revolve around her, which is a nice change of pace from having Tracer as the continuous poster girl of the franchise. Hopefully, fans will get to see different characters increasingly take center stage in Overwatch 2, like Sojo

In Overwatch 2, he’s taken a small debuff to his gun’s damage and his ultimate’s range, but Soldier 76’s rifle, rockets, running, and regeneration still mean he can take down both bosses and bands of baddies alike– Just don’t forget to aim for the h

This newly mobile Bastion also comes with a grenade launcher for AoE and rocket-jumping, and his ultimate is now an artillery cannon for bombing baddies anywhere on the map. The only downside to these changes is that Bastion has traded his self-repair for a less useful 'Ironclad' defense buff during these Assault and Artillery mo

I am not thrilled about the new monetization, and [[https://Overwatch2Base.com/|enquiry]] I think at the very least there needs to be more ways to earn Overwatch Coins. That being said, we all know how free-to-play games work. If Blizzard makes a bunch of $20 skins, people will buy them. The hope is that Blizzard will reinvest that revenue back into the game so that we don’t have to replay Lucioball or Mei’s Snowball Offensive for the umpteenth time. We’re going to get five or six heroes a year instead of two or three. We’re going to get new maps, new game modes, and a whole new PvE story experience. Overwatch needs to change and grow all the time to keep people playing. The original wasn’t built to be that game, but hopefully Overwatch 2
