I booted up Overwatch for the first time in a few months last night and it wasn’t awful. I mean, it was frustrating, but I had at least one team who genuinely cared about the objective and we won two matches in a row. For what it’s worth, I only really play Competitive or seasonal co-op events - Quick Play and Arcade aren’t for

Since its launch in 2016, Overwatch’s standard game types have had six player-teams. Blizzard has experimented with team restrictions like role locks and limitations (including one extreme trial period, which limited teams to one Tank Hero), but never has the team size changed. This would be a significant adjustment to the game -- one that seasoned players may or may not have on their list of changes they want to s

Kaplan does seem to have big plans for Overwatch 2 , and the story mode may end being phenomenal. If there's a good number of missions, new skills, and a high level of replayability, then it might turn out to be a game deserving of your hard-earned dollars. But right now, Overwatch 2 seems like the same old Overwatch , only now everyone has a fancy new hairst

Plants vs. Zombies went a long way from a defense strategy game to a third-person shooter, yet it worked out. Garden Warfare 2 lets you be plants or zombies, and your team must overcome the enemy, whether they are a plant or the und

Which begs the question, if everything is going to be added into the first game, why do we even need a sequel? From the sound of things, it seems like Overwatch 2 should have been DLC instead of a separate full-price rele

After the fancy new animated trailer was shown off at Blizzcon, Kaplan started listing off all the goodies players would get with Overwatch 2 . Echo and Sojourn, along with possibly four more unannounced heroes would join the roster, new maps based in Toronto, [[https://overwatch2base.com/|overwatch2Base.com]] Gothenburg, Monte Carlo, and Rio De Janeiro would be available, and there would be a new game mode called Push. Perhaps the most important new addition is the co-op story mode, which will finally allow fans of the series' lore to play through narrative PVE missions with their favorite charact

While Winston was recruiting new agents, someone codenamed Soldier: 76 was raiding former Overwatch bases to salvage technology. It was later revealed that Soldier: 76 was actually Morrison and he had survived the explosion. Morrison joined Winston along with Genji, Reinhardt, Brigitte Lindholm, Echo, and Angela Ziegler after saving Paris from Null Sector. Lucio and Sojourn would also join Overwatch shortly after, officially sparking the second iteration of the global strike team. With the rise of attacks across the globe, the people of the world need Overwatch now more than e

One of the most highly touted features about Overwatch 2 is the fact that players of the original Overwatch aren't being left behind. Game director Jeff Kaplan has declared that this will be the future of sequels, as both games will receive all future multiplayer content as well as gameplay and graphical improveme

Basically, I don’t think a fixed, single-player campaign is going to work for Overwatch 2, if that’s what Blizzard is currently planning. On the flip side, a robust hero shooter with an emphasis on cooperative play could do phenomenally well. I’m thinking of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, where you get to choose a type of enemy, a map, and a difficulty. After that you consciously work with your teammates to take on waves of baddies while completing a variety of objectives. It’s so simple, and yet so effective, because the moment-to-moment satisfaction is completely tied to using your abilities. I still think playing as an Asari Vanguard in Mass Effect 3 was the most fun I’ve ever had in a multiplayer game - it’s a shame BioWare isn’t bringing it back for Mass Effect: Legendary Edit

The rift between the two escalated, and Overwatch’s headquarters were destroyed in an accidental explosion. It was reported that Morrison and Reyes died in the explosion, and the United Nations elected to disband Overwatch. They passed the Petras Act, which deemed any Overwatch-related activities ille

Thanks to its support, Siege has received loads of operators and maps, with some reworked to fit its ever-changing landscape. It is equal parts strategy and good aim to utilize equipment, communication, and gunfire to complete the objective or to wipe out the enemy team. This game takes a lot of dedication to master, but one that is worth it if you

Roughly eight years before the present day, a terrorist organization called Talon attacked an Overwatch facility in Oslo. More specifically, a businessman named Antonio was behind the attacks. Morrison wanted to work with the Italian government in taking him down, but Reyes opted for his own operation. He infiltrated Antonio’s home with a team that consisted of himself, Genji Shimada, Moira O’Deorain, and Jessee McCree. However, Reyes killed Antonio instead of capturing him, which started a series of events that would spell the end of Overwa
