A good witch or wizard needs a trusty pet, and for Harry Potter, Hedwig the Owl went above and beyond the call of duty. The bird's dedication to the boy wizard made her a hit with fans, and broke their hearts when she sacrificed her life to protect Harry in The Deathly Hallows . A righteous death for the boy she loved should have been expected. In the books, Hedwig takes her name from a medieval witch or wizard. But in the real world, Hedwig is the patron saint of orphaned and abandoned children - making her the perfect guardian for the movie's h

TRON: Legacy - which was green lit due to the enthusiastic audience reaction to the test footage released at Comic Con three years ago - is now depending on that sane audience to show up in force and bring ten friends e

Furthermore, the post-credits audio message isn't the only secret in Cloverfield - as the film also contains three hidden frames from classic monster movies: Them! , The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms , and King Ko

This method of filmmaking took some getting used to for the actor, who likes to "relate to the lens and have a costume and a set." Although, he feels that the best thing to do in acting (and in life) is to adapt to the the reality of what is happening, and adapt quickly, so for him this work became about becoming "like a child, when you don't have all the cool gear, and you have to use your imaginati

In the footage there are a few shots of Jeff Bridges in "the vault," which is a room of any size, painted green, and filled with sensors designed to capture the movement and facial performance of the actor. The capture is used to assist in the creation of the CGI version of Bridges as Clu - a.k.a. the young Kevin Flynn - as well as the environment in the scene as well as the camera angles. This was a process which blew Jeff Bridges away. He shook his head in wonder, saying, "Wow man, making movies without cameras -- what an idea! When they first said that, I said 'what are you talking about'

With the billions of dollars being spent on blockbuster films, it's hard to watch an epic action, fantasy, or science fiction movie just once. But even with repeat viewings, some awesome or unbelievable details always seem to slip by viewers' e

Backstory: After tensions rise at the station, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) visits a Mexican restaurant with other women from the KVWN Channel 4 - plotting a practical joke to get even for the continued arrogance and sexism displayed by Ron Burgandy and the rest of San Diego's "Number One News Team." The restaurant the ladies visit is the "Escupimos en su Alimento" - which, when translated in Spanish, actually means " we spit in your foo

It feels as though the scene in which "the sirens" first give Sam Flynn his grid wardrobe and identity disk is choreographed somewhat like a dance. You can hear a count out for the movement of the four exotically beautiful "programs" charged with preparing Sam for the "games," a.k.a. "Disk Wars." You can also see some of the choreography from the fight scenes, which Garrett Hedlund, describes as "unlike any I have ever se

Now known as one of the greatest action movies of all time, it's easy to forget the softer side of Die Hard hero John McClane. When the New York cop flies to Los Angeles to spend Christmas with his family, he brings a gift with him: a large stuffed bear, complete with a red ribbon tied around its neck. If the movie followed the novel it was based on, that bear should have made it to John's daughter, but director John McTiernan never got to show that scene. Apparently, nothing said fatherly love to the director like a teddy bear, since his next [[https://movietriviafocus.com/|movie references|https://movietriviafocus.Com/]] The Hunt For Red October doubled down on the idea. When Jack Ryan had saved the day and headed home to his wife and daughter, he did what any good dad would do: picked up a teddy bear of his own, red ribbon and

First time director Joseph Kosinski has a fair amount riding on the success of this film, and so does producer turned Disney President of Production, Sean Bailey. This footage may be intended to prep fans for the vastly different, and far more modern version of The Grid that they will be introduced to in TRON: Lega

George Lucas knew that the Millennium Falcon was as iconic as anything else in his original trilogy, so when it came time to flesh out the world of Naboo in Attack of the Clones , he didn't disappoint. Fans can spot not one, but three Corellian YT-1300 light freighters in Naboo's spaceport. It's apparently a more popular model than you might think, but in the following movie, fans can catch the real Falcon landing on Coruscant, years before Han Solo would ever get behind the wh

The story of two stoners in search of burgers made John Cho and Kal Penn overnight stars, but Cho previously turned heads in the movie Better Luck Tomorrow , director Justin Lin’s acclaimed story of over-achieving Asian American teens. Lin has confirmed the movie is a prequel story for Fast & Furious hero Han, but the same can’t be said for Cho’s character. Someone on the set of Harold & Kumar was clearly a fan, and found a clever way of working the title into the script (coming from the mouth of an "extreme" je
