All from the same Elite Trainer Box, which seemed to have pretty decent pull rates. | If you were a child of the late 90s, you were guaranteed a seat on the Pokémon hype train. You had the games, cards, lunchboxes and possibly even underwear. There was no escape from Pokémon. The cards in particular made people go insane. Stores would charge $2.50 for a single Nidorino and up to $60.00 for a holographic Venusaur, and we all heard legends of kids who struck it rich after pulling a Charizard. Opening a fresh booster to find a rare card was a thrill only matched by stumbling across a shiny in the grass. | We were also lucky enough to checkout some plush toys that are usually only available in a very specific manner. Those who pre-order Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are given one of three plush key chains of the Alolan starters: Litten, Popplio and Rowlet, each of which is so adorable. They are made of soft fabric and very detailed with all markings and features present, and are very high quality, coming directly from the Pokémon Center. Plastic hooks in matching colors are attached to each one. Use them to clip onto various belongings such as purses, car keys, curtain rods or backpacks just to name a few. For those who plan on getting Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the pre-order bonus isn't a bad deal at all, and hopefully you will be able to get the one you favor the most! |

| Hardcore fans of the trading card game studied the manual religiously to learn how to play, but more casual players had a Game Boy cart to teach us. After winning each battle you'll receive booster packs from your opponent which you can use to fine-tune your deck. You can build whatever you want as long as it contains 60 cards and at least one basic Pokémon. | |

| The cards for Victini and Keldeo depict them in beautiful scenery with a fully designed background. Victini comes as a Fire-type with 70 HP, which is pretty average. Energy Assist can be pretty good at building up a sweeper in your bench since you are allowed to attach energy cards to them after flipping a coin and landing on heads. Victory Ball is Victini's only attack. It deals 50 damage which is very useful but you must discard one energy afterwards. Be sure to stack your deck with enough Fire-type energy cards to keep Victini in the battle. Keldeo is a Water-type and has 90 HP. Its ability, Justified, allows it to inflict 50 more damage to Dark-type enemies and its Sacred Sword attack deals a staggering 100 damage. Keldeo has the potential to take down a large number of opponents because potential doubled amount against those weak to Water and then 150 damage against Dark-types. The only catch is Keldeo won't be able to attack next turn. Keep plenty of backup Pokémon around and various Trainer cards in-hand to make-up for that gap. | Our haul turned out to be a fantastic pick-up for Pokémon fans. | Starting off, Bright Tide features the shining star of the sea, Primarina. It contains a shocking mixture of Water and Electric-type Pokémon as well as a few Normal-types. Primarina is the main draw of this deck and with Disarming Voice doing 30 damage plus confusion as well as its signature attack, Sparkling Aria inflicting 100 damage while healing itself, this Pokémon is going to be tough to take down. Primarina is good to use if stalling is necessary as its self-healing will give you time to power up other Pokémon. It has 150HP which is pretty fair and a weakness to Grass-type cards which is good news for anyone using the Forest Shadow set. Also, those looking to experience Alolan region Pokémon, there are only four which means the majority of your team will consist of older Pokémon. | |
