-A new year is right around the corner and with it comes slew of new games that the video game community is already giddily awaiting. Of coursethere is the dreaded first quarter. Usuallyanyone familiar within the video game community knows that most triple A titles will be coming out sometime in the Q3, leaving Q1 looking a bit sparse. Just look at 2016 as an exampleThree major shooters all came out one after the other for few weeks and it can create some discord; getting to all those games can be difficult. With 2017 on the waythough, things are already looking a bit different. Q1 is looking more fleshed out with titles and one of those titles is Nier: Automata , not triple A, but worth all the attention. +

-PlatinumGames opted to further utilize the power of PS4 Pro by implementing better visual effectsas you can see in the screenshots belowBesides looking even smoother thanks to motion blur effect (first picture), lighting will be more advanced (second picture), including sharper god rays and atmospheric effects. Last, but not least, shadows will be much higher in resolution (third picture)showing small details like foliage and m+Keiichi Okabe: When I was working on the previous title, the difference that I felt with other projects was that [[https://Nierautomatafans.com/|nier automata boss guide|https://nierautomatafans.com/]] uses lot of vocals in its tracks, and I placed importance on the emotions that that conv

-  +The demo for Nier: Automata follows two androids, 2B and 9S, inside of a massive abandoned weapons factory that is now run by machines . The player takes control of 2B as she (do androids have genders?) travels through this factory on a mission to take out a Goliath-class weapon. Immediately upon playing this demo the familiarity of its predecessor is apparent. 2B has a floating mechanical companion that can provide fire power assistance as she battles the robotic enemies as they shoot the familiar orb projectilesNier was no slouch with a swordbut watching 2B in melee combat is truly a thing of beauty as she is able to dispatch her enemies by using her blades with the finesse of a ballerina trained by ninjas. The explosive action on screen is accompanied by a beautiful choral infused soundtrackwhich was one of the more memorable aspects of the original.
-Soon we'll be able to play the demo of the game ourselvesIt will be released for PS4 on December 22nd while the game will release in North America on March 7th2017, while Europe will get it on March 1+

-  +As a series, it has managed to keep up with the times in good stride ( even if it got weirder along the way ). Nier and its predecessor Drakengard were both superb reflections of their time. Nier: Automata is already looking to address certain themes all too familiar for the times right now. Againmaking giant leap into the future, possibly to speak on what technology means for the world. How it shapes and effects our lives. It will be interesting to see where Automata goes because it will be the first game without human protagonist. Heroine 2B looks femalebut like her counterpart S9 (looks male), they are both fully functioning machines. Not a single human thing about them, aside from looks (they both look dope). It will also be a game without blood, as far as what has been shown. Surprising as this series oozes blood; even the shades in Nier spouted fountains of gore. Yet even this design choice of focusing more on explosions than gore is important. Giving pause to thought, maybe Nier: Automata is saying something about our world in clever way that is built into its world.
-While some among the easily offended crowd might take issue at the display, a whole lot of artistically-inclined fans appear to be appreciatingand that has given birth to a veritable cornucopia of fan art prominently showcasing 2B's rear +

-Yoko-san might be referring to this post , in which Twitter user Kibu  provided a  handy gallery of a whole lot of dedicated fan artfor which the Game Director took time to thank him personally . On the other hand, user kuchiekoo  provided an actual zip . It'worth mentioning that, while the art included in both links is absolutely charming, it might be considered not safe for work in some workplaces, so click at your own r+YS: We have been asked this before during other interviews at Gamescomand I have been telling everyone that it would be 25 hoursbecause that'just how I felt. But when I told that to my Japanese staff yesterday nightthey were like "no, it'll probably take a lot longer than th

-This system sends signals out into the area around the playerand these signals provide information that helps determine how much reverb to use – what the walls are made of, how big the room is, and so on. The green dots in this image are the exact spots where these signals hit, but you won’t see them when you play NieR: AutomataThey’re just there to help us debug the dynamic echo system!+In order to see the differencewe captured a few screenshots of the same situations within the demo both on a PS4 Pro and on a standard PS4 consolematching camera angles as well as possible and saving the shots in lossless PNG to achieve the best possible comparison.

-  +NieR: Automata 's demo is finally running on our PS4 consolesgiving everyone taste of PlatinumGames' signature action in JRPG flavor. Not only it looks lovely and plays even betterit also comes with at least part of its promised PS4 Pro support.
-In most gameswhen you compose the tracks, you compose them for place, or momentor a scene, but for NieR I composed for each character and their emotions at any given momentA character may feel sad during a battleand usually a battle sequence would have fierce music, but for NieR , if the character feels sad, I made sure to have that kind of feeling in that fiercen +The images captured on PS4 show some very visible jaggies basically across the whole picturewhile the PS4 Pro version is much smoother. This appears to indicate a superior anti-aliasing solution on top of the difference in resolution. To help you see the difference (even if I doubt that this is really needed) you can check out a zoomed area on both platforms belowwith massive jaggies on standard PS4 and much smoother edges on PS4 Pro.

-Here you can see an attack animation for 2B in progress. In this attackshe uses both her sword and that large melee weapon on her right hand. 2B has a sense of elegance that we try to capture in all of her animations. It’s not enough for main characters’ animations to just look good – they have to feel good in players’ hands, too.+

-YS: As you may know already, the previous title was not what you'd call a "huge success," but it does have big cult following. When we thought about creating a new title for the franchisethought that it needs to become a greater successTo do thatI wanted to have my favorite composer, my favorite director, my favorite artist and my favorite designer, so I asked everyone to join and to create a success that I think is necessary for this franchise. -All that saidNier: Automata is looking to be as equally impressive as its parent games. This series shines and maybe releasing earlier in the year will garner the attention Nier: Automata deserves. This is no JRPG newcomer; these games have been there the whole time and stand up to the best of them.+
