-Winter'still going on strong - for most of us, anyway - but the gaming release lull is slowly coming to an end! While most February releases are still geared towards the previous generation, there are few next-gen games that should start the ball rolling for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox OneLet's take a look at what February has to of+Welcome to the first day of Game Rant'E3 2010 coverage. The first big event of the show, Microsoft's press conference, is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM Pacific Time. No doubt there will be ton of information on the newly named Kinect But what else? Will we see the rumored Xbox 360 Slim ? Any new news on Halo: Reach or Gears of War 3 ? And what surprises are in st

-To get a full sense of just how much time has passed without any updatewe have to go all the way back to E3 2011, where the studio'Jurassic Park adaptation was on display. While dinosaurs were the main attraction, the developer did adorn their booth with a poster for their upcoming King's Quest reboot , although they weren't speaking on specifics (since that project doesn't seem to be progressingwe no know w+For many gamersFable '2004 debut marked a high-water point for the quirky, irreverent series. -It looks like there's a lot more to look forward to this month, with more releases on the PS4 and Xbox One. Although it won't be until March that the next-gen titles start pouring in, February should have many releases to keep gamers occupied. Ranters, what are you most looking forward to? -That criteria is consonant with a Lionhead job listing which surfaced last year, brimming with suggestive language related to next-gen engine/graphical designThere are some curious distinctionshoweverpresent in the animation director description that point directly toward work on the Fable franch+The last thing I saw was the Kinect taking over the remainder of the Microsoft Press Conference which was just sadDemos of games in which you pet tigersride rafts through a riverand exercise all shared a unified element; they excited the core gamer in absolutely no way, shape or form. I cringed when they showed Kinectimals . I scratched my head when I saw the running in place game and I literally had to leave the room when they showed the fitness title. The racing game in which you steer with your hands was easily the most hardcore-oriented title shown for Kinect. The dancing game really irked me though because everyone they brought out to play already knew the routines. I don’t see how one without knowledge of the dance steps prior would be able to play (dance) at that level of enjoyment and not make a few more mistakes along the

-But what stood out more to this comic book fan was the poster featuring little more than the title 'Fables' and looming silhouette of a werewolfSoit was assumed that Telltale would be focusing on the fairy tale graphic novel'Bigby (a.k.a.'The Big Bad Wolf); given the studio'experience with the likes of Puzzle Agent building an adventure game around the sheriff of Fabletown made se+For those who had a hard time getting the original game and its expansion pack [[https://Fablechronicle.com/|Fable Walkthrough|Https://Fablechronicle.Com/]]: The Lost Chapters to run on the 360, it'real shame that the re-worked effort is also set to become immediately outdatedDeveloping the game as an Xbox 360/ Xbox One downloadable might have made more sensegiven the timing of the anniversary as slap bang in the middle of the second wave of Xbox One tit

-Unless Telltale Games is preparing to announce and adaptation of Allen Ginsberg's life, we'd bet that an update on Fables is imminent. The only question remains: just how much progress has the studio made, and how big an influence will The Walking Dead 's success have? The developers are certainly not the type to twist other games to capitalize on another'success, but there'no reason the art style or advertising couldn'be tied into their most successful game e+The Journey evoked the past the franchise is sorely in need of honoring. The hiring of Needham could presage the concepts it uses to do so uniquely. Whether or not Fable 4 would find success with such a modelwell, that'another matter entirely. But with Microsoft anxious to preview its exclusive launch line-up for the next-gen Xbox both at its May 21 press conference and, doubtless, E3 2013 , it might be long before we find
