| On the other hand, New Dawn presented a straightforward story structure that came to be expected of the series, yet it's overarching story, perhaps because of Mickey and Lou, was not that invigorating. As the old idiom goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Far Cry 6 should take the best of both worlds, combining the classic story structure found in New Dawn and older games, but make sure that the story is on-par with Far Cry 5 as well. Overall, if Far Cry 6 manages to nail these things, it'll be a strong next-generation start for the franch | Until we get an official confirmation from Ubisoft, it's hard to gauge what to expect from the next Far Cry game. At the very least we know that the project exists from outside sources, so the anticipation is certainly there. Incorporating elements from one of the more divisive Far Cry games so far could serve to aid the next game in the ser |

| Something that Far Cry 5 did bring back from Far Cry 2 was the buddy system , but in many ways it was a stripped down version of what it used to be. The buddy system in Far Cry 2 was an integral part of the gameplay, rather than just a companion who could assist in battle. Any time a pivotal story mission was about to occur, players would receive a call from their best buddy offering an alternate way to complete the mission. Then these side characters would actively take part in main story missions, helping assist the player for a more favorable outcome through specific tactical scenarios. Buddies also had permadeath, meaning if a buddy becomes gravely injured during one of these missions, they can be gone for the rest of the g | Jason is just a frustrating whiny character, and Arjay is just... well he has no character. Ubisoft even went as far as making a silent protagonist in Far Cry 5 , which completely took us out of the story. If they can nail the tone right for Far Cry 6 , they should also have a main character with an actual personal |

| Obviously this year is proving to be a bit strange for the games industry, Ubisoft included. Where a certain AAA failure forced it to delay many of its upcoming titles, issues related to COVID-19 have made things even worse. But there is hope, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming to next-gen consoles later this year. Only thing missing is the reveal for Far Cry 6 , which is also apparently slated for this fiscal y | Vaas represented a pivotal shift in Far Cry 's narrative structure that served to transform the series into something much more insane. Actors often like to have fun with AMAs and interviews as such, but occasionally tease things that could be true. The way its written seems more of a joke than anything, but it wouldn't be the first time an actor has hinted at a possible return. Vaas returning to Far Cry 6 may even mean the next game is a sequel to Far Cry 3 as well. Considering how iconic Vaas has become for the franchise since its third iteration, his return would be interesting considering he presumably died at the end of Far Cry |

| Another detail in this formula is an exotic location, as each game has included a location that was intriguing, seemingly realistic, and incredibly dangerous. Far Cry New Dawn was a spin-off like Far Cry Primal , which explains the post-apocalyptic setting, but it's not something that should be expected in Far Cry 6. Instead of something "out there," a grounded location for Far Cry 6 would work wond | Just like the series, Far Cry New Dawn is a game of exploration and self-discovery. Despite flaws and bumps along the way, New Dawn captures new magic and shows a glimmer of what the future of the Far Cry series looks like. Now if only Ubisoft could match the game design with equal level and story quality, we may be able to see the series capstone game in Far Cry |

| Pair that with the already announced Watch Dogs: Legion , Gods and Monsters , and Rainbow Six: Quarantine , the publisher has a lot on the horizon for 2020 and 2021. Early reports stated that Ubisoft would have five of its AAA franchises release during the 2020-2021 fiscal year, and considering four have already been announced, it should be safe to say Far Cry 6 is up n | Obviously there's other examples like Ghost Recon or Just Dance that are powerhouse franchises for Ubisoft, but they're unlikely to take their place. Additionally, Jason Schreier from Kotaku chimed in to confirm that fifth game was not Beyond Good & Evil 2 or Skull & Bones . Schreier cited some development troubles for Skull Bones delaying the game severely, [[https://farcry6zone.com/|Farcry6zone.com]] as well as Beyond Good & Evil 2 still not being far enough in developm |

| One of the surprise hits of the year was A Way Out from Hazelight Studios. This co-op action-adventure game can only be played multiplayer, either split-screen or online, and offers a fresh new take on the cooperative genre. Players must work together to solve puzzles and navigate quick time events as they escape prison and venture beyond the walls. This game would make the list based on the creative new spin on the co-op genre, but it also has a surprisingly well-written story to back it up. A Way Out is a must-play for those who long for the days of couch co | On top of that, Far Cry New Dawn can gloss over the issues of stagnant difficulty that plague the other Far Cry games. With tiered enemies, tiered missions, and upgradable skills, it would be nearly impossible for you to beat the game with your starter weapons. While previous games in the series would let you cheese difficult portions of the game, you are expected to improve in Far Cry New Dawn, and that is |

| In many ways, Far Cry 3 is often considered the series' best entry, serving to both modernize and cement the franchise's popularity among fans. Vaas served as a genuinely intimidating villain, while the gameplay mechanics were honed and perfected from previous games into a satisfying shooter experience. With Far Cry 6 on the horizon, fans are likely expecting a similar revolution from the third game for the next generation. But before Far Cry 3 , the game wouldn't have existed without some serious innovation on the part of its predecessor Far Cry | In a recent interview, actor Giancarlo Esposito was discussing processes for acting in motion capture for The Mandalorian . During that portion of the discussion, Esposito specifically mentions a "huge" video game he's working on that he can't discuss. Rumors flew for a while until a new report seemingly confirmed that game was Far Cry 6 . The article has since been taken down so it may be false, but it's impossible not to wonder what Esposito could bring to the table as a villain in the insane franch |

| Far Cry 5 is one of Ubisoft's best-selling games , and that fact combined with the general popularity of the [[https://farcry6zone.com/|Far Cry 6 DLC|https://farcry6zone.com/]] Cry franchise means it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Far Cry 6 is a virtual guarantee, and at the rate Ubisoft pumps out Far Cry games, it will likely release within the next couple of years. That timeline is even more likely if a recent "leak" is to be belie | One of the most anticipated games of the year, Anthem , is also the most promising co-op title of the year. In Anthem, players take on the role of a Freelancer in an exosuit called a Javelin to make their way through a shared world that will feature both single-player and co-op gameplay modes. Teams can have a squad of up to four players to explore the science fiction-like landscape of the world that often changes thanks to something called "Shaper Storms." There isn't a lot of information available on the title, but the developer, BioWare, has enough of a fanbase to make this one of the more popular titles of the y |

| Ubisoft once perfect the open world action-adventure formula with its past games, namely by focusing on an interesting and eccentric villain to push it forward. An attempt at this can be seen in every game, although arguably, none are able to live up to Far Cry 3 's Vaas Montenegro. Far Cry 4 's Pagan Min and Far Cry 5 's Joseph Seed are still good sources from which Far Cry 6 can learn, but aside from Vaas, perhaps Ubisoft should look closely at Seed and New Dawn 's Mickey and L | The Far Cry series loves to write entertaining villains. They don’t seem to be lacking in that department. What they do need to work on, however, are their protagonists. A villain is only as good as its hero counterp |

| Giving buddies a heightened role in the main story justified their existence as characters, instead of just being hired help. Far Cry 6 should iterate on the foundation that Far Cry 5 's buddy system has established , whilst including elements of Far Cry 2 's buddy system. The buddies/specialists in Far Cry 5 all had unique combat abilities and skills that assisted the player throughout the game, but in the end buddies only acted in service to the player. | | Where Gus Fring was a calculated and intelligent character, Buggin' Out was an energetic and outspoken character. Esposito embodied a character in Do the Right Thing , which came out in 1989, that represented a polar opposite of Gustavo Fring. His brashness and argumentative nature was what made Buggin' Out's character so endearing, using his wit to challenge what he saw as wrong. Esposito has the potential to craft characters that vary far beyond his most recent work, and is something he could certainly draw from should he take on a villainous role in Far Cry(Image: [[https://www.freepixels.com/class=|https://www.freepixels.com/class=]]) |
