-Destiny 2 is headed in the right direction. Perhaps it'too little too late or maybe it could pull a healthy player base back inFor now, Destiny 2 is trying its best and is showing signs of quality of life for its future. Today it’s no surprise when buying a new game to be hit immediately by patchbecause what game makes it out of the door ever without having to go through few updates and patches once it’out the gate? Usually a major update will hit games freshly released within the first month followed by the steady stream of content and improvements. All of this is commonplace in the video game world and yet we as the audience still find time to get mad that games aren’t the perfect embodiment of what was envisioned. Developers do have a responsibility to be open with their audience and it does become a let down when certain things promised are nowhere to be seen or the game is more broken than let onSo let the saga of Destiny as it continues through the ages be a lessonone that we are seeing more and more frequently – Anthem is on the horizonafter all. But it's our responsibility as players and developers to keep the dialogue going to get the best experience possible from all sides. Good luck out thereGuardian.+That'Protheon's big mechanicOnce you get him down to a certain damage pointhe drops out the floor beneath you and lands you in new arena. He does this three times throughout the fight. The difficult part about Protheon is that he plays floor'lava with you. When he gets pissed enough, he'll slam his fist on the ground and burn the entirety of the floor, which forces you to jump up on some small platforms. All this does, however, is put you in the line of sight of Protheon, who has two different weapons with which to take you down. It's a tough fight, but it's interesting and different, and that's what we want. I will say, however, that the rest of the strike is pretty mundaneSave for the couple of interesting set pieces I mentioned earlier, it's kind of simple. It doesn't have many interesting mechanicsbut it is shortso running it over and over as you grind will at least be quick. So again, if all of the strikes in Destiny 2 are short and simple but also take you through a new and interesting setting with a neat boss at the endthen sign me up for more.

-We want to continue experimenting and evolving Eververse to improve player experience, and give more paths to earn Eververse rewardsPlease give us your feedback once Season 3 beginsas were dedicated to improving these systems moving forward."+The RNG system is still here but has been streamlined to be more rewarding. Faction Leaders regularly dole out Legendary items after you turn in enough Faction currency to themwhich can be found by participating in activities in the world, playing Crucible, breaking down old items and participating in StrikesAll-in-allits not much of a chore to get to a high Power Level to take part in the late game activities. What has been negatively impacted in [[https://www.destiny2Focus.com/|Destiny 2 DLC]] 2 is a player’s ability to customize their Guardian and earn certain rewards.

-[Matthew Ward]We had the opportunity to spend time building him up in that he’s not just a bad guyIn his world, he’s the good guy with purposeThere’s something that’s deeper to himWe wanted to make sure our antagonist wasn’t just cliché.+(Image: [[http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b7light_fx005.jpg&dl=1|http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b7light_fx005.jpg&dl=1]])Going deeper into the earth, we finally found what the Red Legion was searching for, Protheon, the Modular Mind. This giant bipedal Vex machine was the final boss and he was quite the challengeAll his attacks caused splash damage and a single stomp was enough to snuff out a Guardian. While he was quite the bullet sponge, Bungie did make it interesting by constantly changing the arena. A multi-tiered boss, Protheon would destroy the arena, sending us falling down to new oneEach arena had its own little quirk. The second had a burning effect every now and again that would drain healthThe third was surrounded by lake of a milky white substance that would birth Vex grunts. It’s was an exciting boss battle that was more entertaining and engaging than anything in vanilla Destiny.

-Loot boxes make moneyThis is still the unfortunately reality of things despite the absolutely massive backlash that hit the likes of EA and Activision six months agoDespite everything; despite the massive outcry and governmental investigations into this slimey practicegamers are still buying loot boxes frequently enough to make them worth all the trouble they cause. They’re still in Overwatch, PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds is still developing theirs and now Bungie has unveiled yet another type of loot box to Destiny 2 as their response to the massive outcry against their baffling insistence on walling-off much of the game’s gear behind RNG loot boxes. The developer has even gone on-record to acknowledge fans’ dislike of the loot boxes and promised to explore ways to improve Eververse for players. Yet here they are with another loot box; they either don’t have any idea what the issue is or they think they’re going to make a lot of money from it. With [[https://www.Destiny2Focus.com/|Destiny 2 Guide]] 2 in such a sorry state, they’ll need to make that money fast.+The campaign kicks off with a bangReturning home to The Last City, you and your Ghost discover that the city has come under siege by the Cabal Empire’s Red LegionLed by Dominus Gaul, the Legion successfully captures the Travelercutting off all Guardian’s connection to the Light. Without Light, you must become the rallying point for all surviving Guardians, re-unite the Vanguard and retake what Gaul has taken from you.

-While including loot box that doesn’t award duplicates is better than only having completely random loot boxesdoing so doesn’t take away from the fact that Bungie’s game is still highly encouraging its players to engage with loot boxes instead of actually earning loot. It also doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re still pushing random microtransactions in a game with a sixty dollars price tag and paid DLCWhat’more, they don't appear to see anything wrong with this.+Other (obvious) additions to Destiny 2 are the new subclasses and extra abilities. I'Titan main, so most of my time was spent with the new Sentinel class, but I also got to check out the Dawnblade Warlock and the Arcstrider Hunter. All three are similar in a lot of ways to their previous subclass, but with more aggressive tendencies. The Arcstrider is almost identical to Bladedancer, save for the super, which gives you some mad bow staff skills. Dawnblade gives you flaming sword and the ability to essentially fly around the map as you swing fiery blasts at everyoneThat'instead of Sunsingerwhich brought you back to life and gave you unrestricted access to all the melees and grenades you wanted. Instead of Defenders and their Wards of Dawn, Sentinels will get a Captain America shield that they're able to throw around and smash into people with. So while I think that the new subclasses are less tactical than the original ones, they grant new and interesting game mechanics to players. The new supers are about taking out as many baddies as you can, and in that case, all three are extremely successful.

-Outside of The HiveThe Cabal are arguably the biggest threat to HumanitySimilar to the Fallenbecause apparently aliens like to follow one anotherthese hulking beasts came after The Collapse, but the difference comes in the form of rank and organization. While the Fallen are more multiple competing tribesthe Cabal are a consolidated race that doesn’t reason with other species; they only take what they want and do what they believe is best for their empire. Sure, there are mutinies, but they’re a militarized civilization. Unfortunately, not a whole lot is known about them prior to the events of Destiny outside of their constant advance of colonization within the solar system, namely taking over Mars and its moon, Phobos.+There are a total of eight maps (nine if you’re playing on PS4)and five game modesSupremacyClashand Control are part of the Quickplay option, and new modes Countdown and Survival are part of Competitive. Unfortunately, there is no option to select the game mode you want once you select Quickplay or Competitive. If you really want to play Control, you have to hope that the game's matchmaking doesn't randomly throw you into Supremacy or Clash.

-There’s no real choices and trade-offs to be made anymore. The same goes for the rest of the game. The in-depth and often rewarding dialogue trees are gone, replaced with options that boil down to whether or not the player character is going to be either nice or sarcastic niceThere are no karma checksno skill checksno special checks, nor even long and interesting conversations to be hadDialogue might as well just be there because previous Fallout games had it. The list could go onbut is perhaps better saved for another time. As it stands,Fallout 4 has gained massive mainstream successIt just had to become a different game in order to get it; a game that’s much more a shooter with RPG elements than it is an RPG with shooter elementsIt became a game one that fans of the old Fallout games have grown to hate and possibly a series that RPG fans in may no longer care about in the future. Taken on it’s own It’s decent game, but one that has nonetheless been compromised for the sake of short-term salesThe same is true of Dead Space 3.(Image: [[https://freestocks.org/fs/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/fat_book_closeup-1024x683.jpg|https://freestocks.org/fs/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/fat_book_closeup-1024x683.jpg]])+The campaign kicks off with a bangReturning home to The Last City, you and your Ghost discover that the city has come under siege by the Cabal Empire’s Red LegionLed by Dominus Gaulthe Legion successfully captures the Travelercutting off all Guardian’s connection to the LightWithout Lightyou must become the rallying point for all surviving Guardiansre-unite the Vanguard and retake what Gaul has taken from you.
 +
+Speaking of enemies, Destiny 2 doesn’t add anything new to the mixEach of the factions from the original game returns with few new units, but they don’t change the fact that these are the same enemies we’ve been shooting for the past three yearsConsidering we’re exploring new, exotic worlds, it would have been nice to get some new enemy species thrown in.
