-Curse of Osiris begins after the events of Destiny 2. The mysterious Warlock Osiris has vanished, and a new Vex threat has surfaced on MercuryPushed by Ikora Rey to investigate, you and your Ghost set your sights on the planet closest to the Sun in the hopes of saving Osiris and defeating this new threat. The Vex have always been the most interesting of Destinyfive alien speciesUnlike the others, we don’t know what motivates them to convert planets and who their allegiance belongs too. Likewise, the character of Osiris has been hyped up over the past three years through the Grimoire and Brother Vance, which means that there should be an interesting story hereUnfortunatelythere isn’t. In factCurse of Osiris’ storytelling is regression back to Vanilla Destiny.+Without a doubt, the best new addition Curse of Osiris brings to Destiny 2 is the Raid LairFilled with challenging puzzles and boss fights, Raid Lairs provide the thrill that the rest of the expansion is sorely missing. While it would have been nice to get a new Raid or endgame activity like in previous expansions, the Raid Lairs are interesting enough to keep players hooked momentarily.
+(Mild spoilers for the first mission of the game ahead) The Beta begins by throwing you into the first mission of the game, called Homecoming. A short cinematic shows your character and his or her ghost flying towards a massive cloud. They look at one another confused, mutually deciding to fly through the smoke to see what's going on on the other side. When they emerge, the City is being bombarded by the Red Legion of the Cabal, led by Ghaul, the main baddie of Destiny 2'campaignWhen you drop into gameplay for the first timeit's on the edge of the Tower and you fight your way to the topYou're equipped with a good amount of weaponsincluding assault riflessub machine guns, hand cannons and few Power weapons, as well as your new class abilities, which we'll talk about later.

-Just about everything you love about Destiny is returning. We’ve got a campaign with a series of story missions that tell a grand tale of courage and heroismWe have strikes. Of course, we’ve got a brand-new Raid, which I can say nothing about because it’s the pinnacle activity. We have different ways to explore the world. We’ve all been on Patrolsbut now there are Lost Sectors to discover, public events with heroic activities, adventures given to us by MPCSFinally, of course, there’s the Crucible for when we want to step away from the fight against the enemies. +A new set of class specific abilities are being added as wellThese abilities stay the same no matter which subclass you chooseand are generally meant to help your teammatesTitans can plant down a shieldWarlocks can cast an area of healing and Hunters get a dodge roll similar to the one that was part of the Nightstalker subclassThe first two are activated by holding down the circle or B button and the Hunter's roll is done by double tapping itThey are all a nice addition to each class' set of abilities and are super tacticalThey were all incredibly useful in both PvE and PvP.
-[JH]: So, that’s kind of outside the scope of where we have our involvementWe’re super dedicated to story, and the high-level development decisions based on classes or specializations happen amongst other teamsWe try our best to have a good narrative wrapper around that decision-makingOur involvement in the PvP is to develop a strong character in Lord Shaxx.+

-You talk about the four-people having different and important roles in the Crucible. Im curious as to why you didn’t add a fourth class. Every match will have at least one duplicate class. Doesn’t that defeat the idea that each player has an important role to play? +Its still too early to say Destiny 2 is going to be the dream game we all wanted when it was first announced in 2013but based on what we playedBungie is on the right track. Were finally getting that cinematicset piece filled campaign that was mysteriously missingStrikes are going to put players in big environments and have them do more than just shoot bullet sponge enemiesThere are new modes to play, worlds to see and characters to interact with. Destiny 2 may just be the game Destiny was always meant to be.
-As for the Crucible, it seems to be an uneven blending of old and new, and like any good shooter, will probably need a few matches under its belt to see where it stands. I was grouped with teams that either know shooters or know Destiny the first few matches tackled. My team dominating match after matchwhile hapless players threw themselves at our Guardian-trained reflexes. It almost didn’t seem fairprobably because the other teams werent making use of their powers and treating the Crucible like any other shooter. Jumping in on day two, however, was completely differentBeing on the receiving end of the stick was just not funMy team wandering off to play "team deathmatch" instead of the actual objective. At this pointit’s confusing when other players don’t know mechanics. Most games use the same objective-based gameplay with personal slight variations, but to see my team run to the meat grinder, completely away from the very thing we were supposed to be protecting, was disheartening. I had to quit while I was ahead. Not because the other players were bad, they just didn’t seem to care.+

-(Image: [[https://www.istockphoto.com/photos/class=|https://www.istockphoto.com/photos/class=]])We delivered solid experience on all platforms we shipped Destiny onWith Destiny 2 being on modern hardware were able to create bigger environmentsmore elaborate activities for more players to enjoyand put more enemy combatants on screen.+The one thing that continually will linger on the mind while playing is the exact sentiment aboveWhy was Curse of Osiris not included in the base game? Curse of Osiris is small, adding only one new destination, new raid space next week and some other minor things, which I’m sure you can guessIts gratingbecause for such a slice of content, it could have easily made its way into the base game — obviously I’m not a developer nor do I pretend to know the ins-outs of development — that saidthis DLC really is small enough that if booting up Destiny 2 for an outside party, they might think it’s part of the base game.

-Convinced yetGuardian? Ready to come back to the fold instead of drinking your woes away locked in dark dingy Tower bar? Sureyou might see Cayde-6 roll on throughbut does he really have anything interesting to say yet? He’s just waiting for the action he has no idea is on the wayThe Cabal have been a long time coming and what better way to kick off Destiny 2 then an all-out assault on the place Guardians call home? Get it while it’hot Guardian, the Tower won’t be around for much longer and all that hard work you’ve put in over the years (or ignored)well either keep at it or kiss it good bye. See you in spaceGuardian.+But anyway, the Inverted Spire is all about putting stop to Protheonthe Modular Mind. To get to himyou'll have to fight through hoards of Vex and Cabal who are also fighting each otherThey take you down into a dig site, where the Cabal have been looking for Protheon. It'pretty straight forwardbut there are some cool set pieces, like the dig site itselfwhich has you dodging huge drills as you descendand Protheon's temple, which changes as the fight goes on.

-Without a doubtthe best new addition Curse of Osiris brings to Destiny 2 is the Raid LairFilled with challenging puzzles and boss fights, Raid Lairs provide the thrill that the rest of the expansion is sorely missingWhile it would have been nice to get a new Raid or endgame activity like in previous expansions, the Raid Lairs are interesting enough to keep players hooked momentarily.+From therewe got to try one of Destiny 2’s new strikes, The Inverted Spire. This mission took us to Nessus (one of the new worlds) to break into a Red Legion dig [[https://Www.destiny2Focus.com/|Highly recommended Resource site]] and figure out what they’re up to. For the strike, Bungie unlocked a variety of different weapons for us to try out and there have been quite a few changesWeapon classifications have been revamped to give players more options. The main slot now houses Kinetic Weapons, which include Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons and Scout Rifles. The second slot now houses Energy Weapons. These are the Fusion Rifles, Handguns and, new to DestinySubmachine Guns. Finally, in the third slot, we have Power Weapons, which are your Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, Sniper Rifles and Grenade Launchers (also new to Destiny).

-The campaign kicks off with bang. Returning home to The Last City, you and your Ghost discover that the city has come under siege by the Cabal Empire’s Red LegionLed by Dominus Gaul, the Legion successfully captures the Traveler, cutting off all Guardian’s connection to the Light. Without Lightyou must become the rallying point for all surviving Guardiansre-unite the Vanguard and retake what Gaul has taken [[https://www.Destiny2focus.com/|from www.Destiny2focus.com]] you.+We’ve created game that has its own culture now and every Destiny player has adapted to the current classesWhat we wanted to do was strip those powers awaymake players think about their characters in some new and exciting ways, and then embrace new forms of fighting within each subclass.

-Starting with Record Books seems like the appropriate placeDestiny took the idea of achievements or milestoneswhatever they might be calledand put them in the form of Record Books. A way for Guardians to keep track of all their glorious achievement plus receive gifts for leveling up through the Record Book that can be shown off when around other GuardiansNothing like a sweet skinright? Much like its Age of Triumph title comes the ultimate Record Book. Not only is this Record Book the largest seen so farbut it also is tough as nails to get through. It is sure to keep any Guardian busy, especially those that might be returning. What’s nice about the Age of Triumph Book is even if it seems like a slog (nothing new for Destiny)the records are easy to achieve, especially before September. Nothing bombastic or hardcore. Just a challenging but fair checklist. Things players will find worth doinghell maybe even starting up that class you’ve always wanted to play but never got around too. September is a long way away after all and that Age of Triumph book wont fill itself out.+[DeeJ] We pick up the adventure where it last left offYou are a Guardian of the last safe cityexcept it’s not so safe anymore. The entire might of the Cabal military descend upon you. Dominus Ghaul leads the Red Legionthe most dreaded fighting force in Cabal Empire to scatter the Guardians across the Solar System and capture the Traveler for himself. So, in the opening act, we lose everything that makes us a GuardianOur powerour weapons, our armor, it’s all gone. Scattered into the wildwe’re going to find new subclassesnew power, new weapons and armor so that we can become more powerful, regroup the survivors, and launch an attack to reclaim that was rightfully ours.
