Filled with half-baked ideas, repetitive mission design and the smallest explorable area yet, Curse of Osiris feels as empty and meaningless as The Dark BelowThe expansion’s campaign fails to push the overall narrative forward and does little with its interesting setup, the Crucible is a mess until Bungie patches it, and the Infinite Forest feels like it needed more time in the ovenAdd in some extremely-questionable business practices and you have the most disappointing expansion to hit the Destiny franchise. Though the expansion is as beautiful as ever, and the gunplay as solid as beforeCurse of Osiris fails to provide Destiny 2 or Bungie with a new lease on life.+Having been mixed on Divinity games in the past, I was hesitant to jump into Larian Studios' latest gameIt took only ten minutes before I realized I shouldn’t have worried as DivinityOriginal Sin is one of the most hardcore RPGs in a long while. This isn’t something that holds your hand; it’s up to your own memory and thoughts to determine the outcome of specific scenariosYou also have to really enjoy detailed menu systems and walls of numeric values for each character to appreciate what kind of RPG this is. Mix in a turned based combat system similar to that of XCOM: Enemy Unknownwith dice rolls and strategic placingand Divinity: Original Sins is an RPG of the ages.

-Light exploration comes to Destiny 2 thanks to Lost SectorsThese sectors are marked on various treesboulders, walls, and other surfaces across the EDZ with the entrances hidden nearbyOnce inside the sector, players will be faced with an elite unit and their entourage.+Destiny 2 is headed in the right directionPerhaps it's too little too late or maybe it could pull a healthy player base back in. For nowDestiny 2 is trying its best and is showing signs of quality of life for its future. Today it’s no surprise when buying a new game to be hit immediately by a patchbecause what game makes it out of the door ever without having to go through a few updates and patches once it’s out the gate? Usually a major update will hit games freshly released within the first month followed by the steady stream of content and improvements. All of this is commonplace in the video game world and yet we as the audience still find time to get mad that games aren’t the perfect embodiment of what was envisioned. Developers do have a responsibility to be open with their audience and it does become a let down when certain things promised are nowhere to be seen or the game is more broken than let onSo let the saga of Destiny as it continues through the ages be a lessonone that we are seeing more and more frequently – Anthem is on the horizon, after all. But it's our responsibility as players and developers to keep the dialogue going to get the best experience possible from all sides. Good luck out there, Guardian.

-What we want to do is make every player in [[https://www.Destiny2focus.com/|Destiny 2 Guide]] feel essential. We want every single player to feel like a superhero that gets to save the day at some point during the matchAs support player, I’m guilty on many occasions of hanging back and scoring assistsIn Destiny 2, I’m going to be provoked into being a hero and helping my team of four in the competitive landscape.+While I didn’t mind Dragon Age II, it still was a step down from the incredible hardcore experience that was Origins. BioWare was able to meet in the middle, creating a more modern Action-RPG while maintaining an old school essence. There was no game on this list that I spent more time with than Dragon AgeInquisition, and for good reasonIt’s an RPG of the highest caliber, introducing us to Thedas like we’ve never seen it before, and some of the most affable characters to ever grace the Dragon Age fiction. There’s so much lore packed into this sixty dollar package that you’ll be engrossed in the story, not to mention the vast expansive world that has been finely craftedThe branching paths and party specific dialogue also give Inquisition an incredible amount of replay value; never before directly after finishing game did want to replay it an entirely different way. Thats not to mention the fights with dragons are some of the most satisfying occurrences to be foundDragon Age: Inquisition has it alland while would like to see BioWare expand upon the addictive multiplayer mode, its campaign drove deep into my addictive personality.

-It's a bit nerve-racking that lore, while mentioned, didn’t come up that much, other than story content. With such a serious overhaul to story, gameplay and the two combined, it’s odd that Bungie would leave out what they’ve done for Destiny lore access to the player base. They introduced a number of needed fixes (maps) and while these are already a drastic improvement to the core Destiny game, lore seems out of reach for the momentIt’s not to say that Bungie won’t talk about it later, but still. While not showcasing access to lore, it'most certainly there. For lore nerds like myself, Destiny 2 already looks to be dream come true.+AI has been improved to where enemies don’t just stand there waiting for players to off them. They will duck and weave and attempt to drive players out of coverThey aren’t as aggressive as, say, Uncharted or Halo, but its a noticeable step up from the original game.

-For examplewhen tackling Cabal Extraction Siteplayers will come face-to-face with Cabal Thresher, an air vehicle that rains missiles down on attacking GuardiansDestroy it, and players will go face-to-face with Cabal ValusIn another examplewhen fighting a Fighting a Fallen Spider Walker defending shields protecting three Scorch Cannons, successfully taking down those shields will summon two additional Spider Walkers.+[[https://www.destiny2focus.com/|Destiny 2 Tips]] released in September of 2013 and with it came an avid fan basenot necessarily for the game itself, but for developer Bungie as whole. UnfortunatelyDestiny wasn’t the most well-received game and its history is marked by scars of mistakes past. Nonetheless it pushed ever onward and a healthy fan following remained to keep it alive-and-well. There’s even Guardiancon now and the game is still in its child years if breaking it down. It can thinkplay and be socially engaging; it just needs to grow bit moreThankfullyDestiny is giving the ultimate gift in its last few months before Destiny 2 comes out.

-Bungie unloaded full clip of Destiny to the face and the feels are real . Remember when I said to pay attention to ZavalaDestiny 2 immediately proves it has more heart than the first game, even with all the expansionsUsing the opening of the showcasing of Destiny 2 as a platform — having Zavala introduce the player base to a more serious tone which immediately sets the stakes higher -- is a strong moveZavala’s more serious demeanor isn’t all brooding, but calculus of everything going around him. Which is why the story to Destiny 2 is already immensely important. While there are a number of things in Destiny 2, the PvE aspect of things makes for the skeletal structure that holds up the Destiny universe. In other wordslore matters.+When D4 was first announced, it sounded ridiculous. Swery65, man who made a name for himself with the over the top and overly charismatic Deadly Premonition, was creating a Kinect game exclusively for Xbox OneIt just sounded out of the ordinary, even by his standardsBut alas, D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die is one of the most charming, most comical games of the yearWhile it’s run almost entirely on quick time events though either controller or hand motionsit’s the loveable cast of characters and intriguing storyline that really make D4 special. If there’s one mission for the gaming community, it’s to ensure that Swery65 and the team at Access Games finishes the episodic adventureas two chapters and a prologue are just not enough.

-The action continues after a short cutscene (yes, there are cutscenes in missions now). We’ve boarded the Cabal capital ship and need to take down the shieldsThe level ended in the shield generator room where we were introduced to Destiny 2’s main antagonistGhaul. Large and menacing, Bungie claims that he’s a more complex villain than, say, Oryx, but he didn’t come across that way in the demo. Hopefullywe’ll see another side of him in the main game. +Curse of Osiris’ plot can be beaten in two hours and is filled with so much repetition and so little expositionOsiriswho is the character this DLC is aboutonly shows up in the flesh for a minute at the very end. The main villain is just an ominous robot who shows up and then is defeated through a quick-time eventTo understand how lazy this story islook no further than the ‘Deep Storage’ missionwhich is just re-purposed ‘Pyramidion’ strikeThe campaign does hold one bright spot; SagiraOsiris’ ghostVoiced by Morena Baccarn (FireflyGotham)Sagira briefly becomes your companion during a large portion of the campaign and is a real delightCharming and well-written, it’s disappointing when she does finally leaveNolan North’s performance as Ghost has declined in quality over the yearsand it would have been great if players got the option to choose who they wanted as their companion.

-It’s been nearly three years since Bungie and Activision first brought us into the world of Destiny . The 2014 first-person loot shooter with MMO-lite mechanics strived to be the next big thing, but was ultimately disappointingA lack of contenta thrown together campaign and repetitive missions marred what was supposed to be the next big Activision IP. Though Bungie got their act together and released the stellar Taken King and OK Rise of Iron expansions, neither felt like the proper leap forward the franchise needed. Well, now we have Destiny 2, a new chance for Bungie to hit the reset button. +

-What does relationship mean for lore though? Of coursethe actual relationship aspect of Destiny is there, but its always been thereDestiny 2 is not only creating worldsthoughit’s actually telling stories within those worlds. The people that inhabit these spaces are important and Bungie seems to be doing everything to make the player care about them. From the looks of interaction with those around you while traversing the many environments Destiny 2 has to offer, the aspect of relationship is everywhere. Zavala giving command to the player and other NPCs around him. It creates a sense of urgency immediately invoking a compassion that only comes from feeling connected to others. Then there is the EDZ new area for players to call homeThe people they were protecting have started forming communities hereActively participating in these places will create a more grounded sense of community. It’s the reason WoW cities felt so lived inthe people that inhabit these spaces are going about their daily lives. It isn’t aboutgo out, kill aliens, return. It feels like being the Pavlovian dog waiting for the treat. None of that seems to be in Destiny 2.+
