| [[https://destiny2Mix.com|destiny 2 crafting guide|https://destiny2mix.Com/]] 2 _ game director Christopher Barrett and project lead Scott Taylor have gone on record confirming the death of the game's beloved Cayde-6, an Exo Guardian who has played a major role in the game's narrative up until this point, in the upcoming _Destiny 2: Forsaken expansion. Cayde-6 also happens to be one of the series' most iconic characters, voiced by Nathan Fillion of Firefly and Castle f | (Image: [[http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b19vehicles_land058.jpg&dl=1|http://www.imageafter.com/image.php?image=b19vehicles_land058.jpg&dl=1]])Since this aspect of the game is how Bungie and publisher Activision are milking extra cash from players they have likely designed the game to encourage players to pay more, and they did this by slowing down XP earning rates behind-the-scenes. That was an intentional design choice and arguably a misleading one. Instead of the levelling progress bar filling out at a normal rate, players rigorously tested and discovered that Destiny 2 was cutting the amount of XP earned for activities completed closer together substantially, even up to 95% in one insta |

| Destiny 2: Forsaken is coming in early September, and carries the hopes of many long-time players on its shoulders. The expansion is Bungie's latest attempt to address the many Destiny 2 concerns the game's playerbase has with its direction, and is adding back random weapon rolls, Destiny 1 's old weapon slot system, and a new gameplay mode in the form of Gambit that are all features implemented based on the feedback the studio has gotten over Destiny 2 's first year in existe | Curse of Osiris comes on the heels of Bungie suffering overwhelming backlash for rigging Destiny 2 's XP system , with regard to players earning Bright Engrams post-Level 20, thus forcing them to " fix " the system. But they failed to mention if they would make it up their mistake to players by compensating them with in-game rewards that they lost out on. Unfortunately, Bungie seems to be doing the exact opposite, as they're now blocking previously available end-game content behind |

| Now that Cayde is officially dead, it will be interesting to see how the Destiny 2 playerbase responds. Cayde was always a polarizing character who had just as many vocal detractors as he had supporters, and the event has people buzzing. If the aim of Destiny 2: Forsaken is to make things darker while also attracting some lapsed players back into the fold, it appears Bungie has found the right mix of intrigue and outrage to do so. Whether or not the expansion can actually retain its players is a whole other argument, but it's one that will have to be had on another day - and without Cayde-6, who likely would have had something very witty to say regarding the whole th | The Dragon's Shadow (costs 23 Legendary Shards) is an exotic Hunter class chest armor that's constructed out of wraithmetal mail and "grants movement and weapon handling speed for a short time after dodging," which should come especially handy during PvP matches, considering Hunters do a fair amount of dodging in competitive. | There's one more wrinkle to this story, though. Some time later, another Guardian from Osiris' time, an EXO named Saint-14, ventured to Mercury to find Osiris and learn what he was doing there. But Saint-14 vanished during this mission and no one knows what happened to him. It's possible that he could still be on Mercury, searching for or working with Osi | We’ve seen community discussion around XP gain in Destiny. After reviewing our data, we agree that the system is not performing the way we’d like it to. Today, we’d like to describe what’s going on under the hood, and talk about what you can expect going forward when it comes to earning XP in Destin |

| Polygon notes that Destiny 2 players can no longer access certain end-game content without purchasing the Curse of Osiris DLC first (and presumably future DLC as well). End-game content, such as Nightfalls and the Raid, have seen their base power level requirements increase, with Nightfalls now requiring players to have a 270 Power Level. While they're still available to the general public, the Nightfall's Prestige variant, which previously required Power Level 300, now requires 330 gear, a level only people who purchased the DLC can obt | According to Bungie's extensive Destiny lore , Osiris was a human Warlock and one-time apprentice to the Speaker. His heroism in one of the earliest battles fought after the construction of the City allowed him to rise to the position of Vanguard Commander — the same office now held by Zavala. Highly respected and fiercely skilled, he was also the mentor of Ikora Rey, current representative of the Warlock class among the Vanguard leaders |

| In the interview, conducted by Eurogamer , Barrett and Taylor were asked about the decision leading up to Cayde-6's death . The duo explained that the character is known for his witty one-liners and campy behavior even in the face of death, and that Destiny 2 : Forsaken is Bungie's earnest attempt to steer the series away from that action-hero trope. The studio is hoping the expansion will set a darker tone for a series that grapples with a lot of big, brooding questions, and it appears Cayde-6 was a necessary fatality to ensure that the Guardians' nadir was successfully reached. When asked if Cayde-6 was really dead or dead "like in a superhero movie," Taylor said, "No, he's definitely de | They're certainly not beating around the bush when it comes to the death of a fan-favorite. According to Taylor, the team always knew it was going to be Cayde, and that his death had been planned for a long while. | The clues, assembled by players on the Destiny subreddit , to the Exo Stranger's identity in Destiny 2 are scattered all over the Warmind expansion, and while no single hint is concrete evidence, the overwhelming amount of them makes it pretty obvious. The expansion features elements known as Lost Memory Fragments, which players can destroy to find text and lore that relates to the memories of Elsie Bray. There are mentions of Exo technology, which her family pioneered, and studying the Vex, a cybernetic species that are, more or less, the dark side of what Exo technology could | The latest game in Ubisoft's signature series, Assassin’s Creed Origins , is included at 40% off regular price. | Officially, the Vanguard has no idea what happened to him after that, beyond a vague report that he went to Mercury. But based on the just-released trailer for Curse of Osiris , it seems that at least one Guardian has secretly been keeping tabs on him: his protégé, Ikora Rey. And the problem is that this isn't anything new for them... or for Activision. The developer employed the same shady tactics in the first Destiny game, and they got away with it, for the most part, which is why they've brought the same mechanic back for the sequel.
